It’s time to relive Shadow’s past – Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic Generations is back, but with something NEW

Sonic Generations was released in November 1,2011 published by SEGA and it’s a 2d/3d platformer video game title. The game is an anniversary title to celebrate the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise 20th anniversary. The game is about Sonic celebrating his birthday with his friends until it’s suddenly interrupted by a mysterious figure called the Time Eater that abducts Sonic’s friends and himself. Sonic eventually wakes up in a place which is call “white space” and in this place it has all of his past memories, but with all of the life and color drain from it. Sonic figures out how to bring the life and color back to those memories and while doing so he’s able to save his friends. So now he’s on this time traveling journey to save his friends and to stop the Time Eater and see who’s behind all of this and restore space and time to it’s originality.

Sonic is not alone in this Adventure

In this game Sonic isn’t tackling this adventure alone and the character that’s joining Sonic is “Sonic”? Since time and space is being disrupted Sonic’s past self is also brought to this white space. The fanbase called this version of Sonic “Classic Sonic”. So with the two them bumping into each other and finding out that time and space is being torn apart they both set off to relieve their past journeys and bump into some old foes.

Shadow is joining Sonic Generations

It’s been over a decade since Sonic Generations was released and now in 2024 we are getting a remaster for Sonic Generations, but were not just getting a remaster of the game in addition we are getting a whole new game experience with it. Now the game is call Sonic X Shadow Generations. This new portion of the game focus on the Shadow’s story and what he was up to while Sonic was trying to stop the Time Eater and fix time and space. These two stories are happening at the same time and towards the end both of these stories will collide to give us the conclusion of the game. In Shadow’s portion of the game he’s reliving his past memories and encountering old foes, but not only that he will be encountering friends and lost love ones. Shadow has a tragic backstory and now having to relive those memories he’s is going to have to overcome them if he wants to fix time and space, but in doing so he’s going to lose someone special to him. The game comes out in a week from now so will find out soon enough how Shadow is going to deal with all of this. As a huge sonic fan I already have the game pre-orderer and I can’t wait to jump into this new experience added to Sonic Generations, so can’t wait to laugh, smile, have fun, and possibly shed some tears. If there’s a game your looking for to play this month then I’d highly recommend this game if you love platformers, cause trust me you will probably have a good time.
