Just want to make it clear right away. I’m a huge Sonic fan and have been since I was a kid. With that being said the sonic franchise is known for having the best soundtrack when it comes to video games. This is not me being biased other people who aren’t huge fans can also agree that the franchise despite its games not always being well can always count on the music always being good. Now their music won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but most people do enjoy the music from the sonic franchise. When it comes to the music the franchise produces they have dabbled in basically every type of genre of music lofi, rock, metal, rap, etc. They have different types of genres that anyone can enjoy.
Shadow Generations ost is PEAK
With the recent release of Sonic X Shadow Generations being highly praised by fans and critics discussing its amazing gameplay, level design, performance, and especially the music the game has been a huge success for the sonic franchise. Within 1 day of the game being fully released to everyone it was able to sell 1 million copies which is a huge win for the franchise and the fans. I’ve already played the game and had lots of fun with it, but the music just enhanced the gaming experience for me while I was playing it. While you were playing through these levels listening to the music it made me feel like I was in that world running alongside the character. All the music in this game is phenomenal. My favorite ost from this video game soundtrack is Sunset Heights Act 1 and Woah is it an amazing song. The song is an instrumental there are no lyrics, but the instruments that were used in this song made it sound even better than the original song. Since this song is a remix of the original Sunset Heights that came out in 2017 that was part of the Sonic Forces soundtrack that’s a whole different video game. The way the guitar, piano, dnb, and the synths really bring this song all together as well as being paired with the stage of a crumbling city on fire and having Shadow run through this city at top speed just makes it an experience to never forget. Trust me when I first played that stage and heard that remix of the song for the first time it was stuck in my head. Ever since then, I have been listening to that song over and over again and just letting my mind run wild with my imagination just coming up with whatever and just picturing Shadow running through it. Overall this video game has an amazing soundtrack and if you have time or want something new to listen to I highly recommend you listen to Sonic X Shadow Generations soundtrack.
