Demon Slayer anime was released in April 2019 I remember watching it in school and it was my first exposure to the IP. I ended up liking the show, but since the anime was new I had to wait every week for a new episode to drop. Every time a new episode would drop I’d get on my phone and start watching the episode. Eventually, after 6 months, the first season of the anime ended with 26 episodes, and because I was so invested in the story and wanted to know how it would continue I started looking for the manga. To my surprise, the manga had ended in May of 2020 so knowing that the whole story was finished I started reading the manga which can also be known as a comic.
So I continued where the anime left off and after finishing the manga I liked it. The characters are likable with Tanjiro being my favorite and although on the internet people say that the story for Demon Slayer is just the same story format over and over again I enjoyed learning more about the Hashira and how they came to be and the demon’s backstory and how it leads to them becoming rank demons. However, I do want to give my thoughts on the ending of the manga because I wasn’t expecting there to be a time skip and show the character’s adult lives and how they moved on past the events of the ending of the manga. In the end, the ending was very wholesome and overall was a great manga to read if you are looking for a new manga to read I’d highly recommend Demon Slayer and if you have time you can also watch the anime.
